Advertising Toolkit: Basic Education for Adults (BEdA)
To get a living wage job in Washington, people need education beyond high school. Yet about 685,000 people in our state lack basic skills, like reading, writing and math.
Many people believe they can’t get financial aid or enroll in a college program without a high school diploma. However, Washington’s community and technical colleges make it happen. Our system has packaged together programs and made use of financial aid rules in a way that allows students to get financial aid, train for a marketable job, and earn a high school diploma – all at the same time.
The Basic Education for Adults Advertising Toolkit is designed to help colleges and community based organizations market their BEdA programs to working adults aged 24-44 who lack a high school diploma. The toolkit consists of pre-packaged social media artwork and research-based messages that colleges and CBO providers can use when deploying their ad campaigns.
