I-BEST Teacher Training is a teaching-team led training that prepares faculty for team teaching and collaborative planning. Participants will learn effective team teaching strategies and practice integrating career-technical and adult education outcomes and indicators to support contextualized learning in the classroom.

In-person: May 23, 2025 from 9 am- 4:30 pm

This training is intended for any team who is new to teaching in I-BEST, or it can be a refresher for veteran I-BEST teams.

This course requires full collaboration from the teaching team, so for this specific training to live up to its intended purpose, we are asking that faculty sign up and participate as a team! 

Space is available for up to 12 teaching teams. Teaching teams are committing to a five-week course with approximately 20 hours of participation and content. The course is completely asynchronous with no required synchronous components.

Canvas: April 7 – May 16, 2025

This interactive training will feature an asynchronous canvas course which will explore using the College and Career Readiness Standards while advancing equity through culturally responsive curriculum and practices. Faculty can expect to attend an online virtual meeting, through zoom, where participants can expect to engage through group discussion centered on application, contextualization, and evaluation in their classrooms.

The aim of this training is to recall and strengthen previously acquired knowledge and skills and give updates on any planned programming changes. The 2-hour training, in combination with the answers to your questions, will enhance your understanding of LACES procedures and raise your awareness of recent system updates.
