11 community colleges around the state offer honors programs. These programs are designed to give students extra academic rigor as they work closely with faculty on classes and projects. Students graduate better prepared for higher level academic work. Colleges that offer programs are:
Our colleges offer students competitive and recreational sports and athletics. College teams participate in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) and are NCAA-eligible. Many colleges offer intramural sports and fitness facilities for individual athletes.
