Reciprocity - Oregon Waiver
The tuition waivers and residency classifications document contains information on tuition waivers, residency classifications and the Running Start Program that may be applicable to students enrolling in Washington state's community and technical colleges.
Waiver Purpose
INACTIVE WAIVER: This waiver is currently inactive because there is no reciprocity agreement with the State of Oregon. The Oregon agreement ended in 2001.
Waiver of nonresident tuition differential for Oregon residents, contingent on similar waivers being offered for Washington residents at Oregon colleges.
Fee pay status: 06 (inactive)
The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, and community colleges, may waive all or a portion of the nonresident tuition differential for Oregon residents upon completion of an agreement between the State Board and appropriate officials and agencies in Oregon granting similar waivers for residents of the state of Washington.
Nonresident differential is the difference between resident tuition (operating and building fees) and nonresident tuition (operating and building fees).
