Resident Category
This category is for qualifying high school graduates seeking permanent United States residency.
This residency classification is mandatory and colleges must charge resident tuition rates for students meeting the residency requirements.
Fee Pay Status: 01
High school graduates meeting the requirements listed below shall be coded as resident students and be charged resident tuition rates.
- Student has obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Has continuously lived in Washington at least a year, for purposes other than postsecondary education, before being admitted to college.
- Provides an affidavit indicating an intent to file an application to become a permanent resident.
