A team helps colleges with operations reviews and civil rights reviews to ensure they're meeting excellent standards.

Operations reviews ensure consistency in record-keeping and reporting, adherence to SBCTC policy and guidelines, as well as compliance with federal, state, and contract laws, regulations and grant provisions. Reviews are supportive, rather than punitive; to ensure the community and technical college system pursues and meets standards of excellence in all areas.

Who Gets Reviewed?

Each year SBCTC selects areas of operations or programs to review, based on risk.

Federal and State grants are also reviewed for compliance with regulations at each college and fund recipient.

What Happens Next?

Each college receives feedback, outlining the results of the review, including recommendations for improvements.

Management receives summary reports — along with recommendations for program guidance enhancement — to encourage continuous improvement in our communication with the colleges and other fund recipients.
