1xx Sponsored Programs
1xx Sponsored Programs – Funds 145,146 Only
These programs include program or research activities performed according to a specific grant or contract with an external entity. The last two digits of the class/subclass field for sponsored programs (1xx where xx = the last two digits) mimic the subclass that benefits from the grant or contract. Example: Disadvantaged student counseling grant activities would use subclass 163 (major class = 1 and subclass = 63, Counseling and Career Guidance).
In program 1xx, the detail level (163 in the example above) is used at the college level. ctcLink summarizes and crosswalks the detail to AFRS as Class 100 (since the state of Washington does not report to IPEDS). Colleges must not use class 100!
