CHRISTOPHER SORAN: All right. Welcome to the ctcLink accessibility forum for May, 2024. We appreciate everybody's time coming. I'll go ahead and get screen sharing. So, today we're going to talk about HCX, or HighPoint Campus Experience, a little bit of PeopleTools, as well as the financial aid PeopleSoft Release Patchset, or FA PRP, in Campus Solutions, also known as CS. So that's lots of acronyms. So go ahead and get rolling. So HighPoint has shared their new VPAT. And so this is for the 24.1.3 release that came out on April 20. And so up on the state board website on the ctcLink Accessibility page, there's a section for the VPATs for the different third-party vendors. And we've updated it with this latest version. There was four partially supports before they started working with the Perkins School for the Blind. And now there's just one. So the date picker component has some interactive elements that lack sufficient contrast when they're focused. And they have already fixed it. So the fix is in version 21.1.4. So HighPoint released that, or they told me-- they mentioned they were going to release it on the 10th of May. So we'll be taking that version that they're releasing in-- new version between now and we get started in June on applying both the latest Campus Solutions image, the Campus Solutions 32, as well as the latest version of HCX. And then we'll be working from June through the summer. And we'll be deploying those into production in October. So I'm excited about all these fixes that are coming. I also requested to HighPoint if we could get access to the report that is shared, in addition to the updated VPAT, and they seemed amenable to that. And I'm interested in how they tested, what they tested with, all that sort of stuff. So I'm waiting to get the updated version. Once we get the updated VPAT, test out version 21.1.4, we'll get that updated on the website. And then we'll share out the report as we get it. So, glad to see all these fixes coming in. Looking forward to the latest HighPoint version. Any questions on this one? Sites are so responsive, too. Just fixing stuff as the reports are coming out. And so that's very good. And moving at a much faster pace than we're used to with Oracle and their fixes. So on Saturday, April 27, we upgraded from PeopleTools 8.59.14 up to the 8.59.21 version. So there was a couple of accessibility fixes that came in on that. And the accessibility image overview document is posted on the ctcLink website, and the link is in the slide as well. Slides are also posted online for everybody to access. One of the changes was there was the Save button changes on the My Preferences page. So we went over that last month. I want to point out that is live now in production and it's what you're working with. So the Campus Solutions Financial Aid PeopleSoft Release Patchset, or CS FA PRP-- [CHUCKLES] So Oracle's been putting out different release patchsets for all the Financial Aid updates. And we've been applying them, working on retrofit security testing. And so we're in that process right now of going through the system integration testing and eventually going through the UAT testing-- all that. Again, we're getting some of the PRPs and changes into PCD as well. Actually, fairly early in the process for the college folks in the Financial Aid community to test out things on this latest patchset, because there's a lot of crunch time around this one. So we want to make sure that we can get aid issued out to students as soon as possible. And so there are, in this release patchset for Financial Aid, there are a couple of accessibility fixes coming in. It's actually a series of patches we've been applying. So I'm going to go ahead and pull that up. So one of the changes is on the Student home-- Student Homepage Admissions To-Do List. So the fluid Admissions To Do List page has been updated. So it'll probably set the link label of the list when you're in-- when you're in the screen reader mode. The correct roll of the tabs for the Application Status page has also been updated. So before, the To-Do List tabs were not in the correct tab order, and they were not keyboard accessible either. And what I'm displaying on the screen is what the text describes, as well as the screenshots of before and after. And the before highlights the application To-Do List tabs on the Application Status Page. And now they're-- they're out of tab order. And then the second screenshot is the application and To-Do List tabs on the Application Status page. I'm highlighting those changes. So now you can learn the correct tab order, and you can type your way into them via keyboard. So that's-- JOSH: Hi, this is Josh. And if I just may add, the reason why the student admissions home-- or the student homepage admissions is in this financial aid PRP is because when you go to-do list in Admissions, that's where students might have tasks that they need to perform for their financial aid. And I guess prior to this, they weren't able to actually get to the to-do list by keyboard navigation. So that has been fixed in this PRP. CHRISTOPHER SORAN: Yeah, awesome. Thanks for the additional context, Josh. Yeah, you wouldn't expect this to be part of a-- what's the-- what's the application status having anything to do with financial aid? So, it does. Another update. So on the Class Self Service and the Advisor Center General Tab-- I'm scrolling down slowly as I can. Don't want to make it go too fast. So the updated header sub page of the Advisor Center tabs now include the Skip to Navigation and the Back to Navigation links. Making sure that's compliant. So if you're on the-- if you're going to campus community and then navigating to the student services center, what you'll see is the-- and there's a screenshot. I'm [INAUDIBLE] towards the bottom of the page there. So at the top of the header tabs where it says student center, general info, admissions transfer credit, academics, finances, and financial aid, and those are all the tabs, just above that is the Skip to Navigation Links link. And then just below those header tabs is the Back to Navigation Links link. So it makes that page more compliant and easier to navigate, certainly. And so those changes will be coming in early June, with the PRP. So those are all the updates for May, 2024. Certainly continuing to work with Oracle on any open SRs we got. And please let us know if you run into anything or if you want to talk about anything on one of the forums. Happy to include any topics you'd like. The updated VPAT from HighPoint is on the ctcLink Accessibility web page, as well as the image overview document from PeopleTools. Once we've-- I was showing that for a little preview version of the accessibility image overview document for the Financial Aid PRP. And that will be posted online closer when we launch-- we go live with the PRP. And you can access it on that page as well. All right, our next meeting is in June on the second Tuesday, as usual, June 11, from 11:00 AM to noon. Yeah, and we appreciate everybody's time. And any questions or anything you've run into in the last month? Or heard from many students having trouble with anything? I'd love to help fix it. All right. Now, then I'll let you get going on your day and have your time back, so. BRYAN FAUTH: Thanks, Chris. Have a good one. VICKI WALTON: Thank you, Chris, for all you do. CHRISTOPHER SORAN: All right. I'll see everybody later. VICKI WALTON: All right. Take care. CHRISTOPHER SORAN: You too.
